The conference will highlight research expertise in select topics in South Carolina and will be a starting place to begin the process of building research teams to address state and national research priorities. There is no registration fee, however, due to the limited number of seats available, registration will be on a first-come first-serve basis until capacity is reached. SC Vision 2025 encourages collaboration and multi-disciplinary research to address complex problems and opportunities that are unique to SC that are nationally and globally competitive. The new Stimulus Research Program aims to strengthen the research capacity and research competitiveness of SC institutions through collaboration and inclusion and will be announced and discussed at the State Conference on Tuesday, April 4. The SC EPSCoR/IDeA Program aims to increase undergraduate students’ participation in ongoing research. Funding for the REU program is intended to support student stipends, materials and supplies, and travel support for the students. Proposal deadline: Friday, April 14, 2017. More
